Eight Participants Successfully Complete Basic Sewing Course (Batch 3)
July 26, 2026
After eight weeks of dedication, creativity, and hard work, Batch 3 of the Basic Sewing Course at the Paung See Lam Vocational Training Center concluded with a certificate presentation ceremony on 25 July 2026 in Mizoram, India.
Since beginning on 1 June 2026, the programme has equipped participants with practical tailoring, knitting, and embroidery skills that can support sustainable livelihoods and income generation.
All eight participants successfully completed the course, including family members of military and police CDM personnel, civil CDM staff, and internally displaced persons from Hakha, Falam, Tedim, Matupi, and Mindat in Chin State.
During the closing ceremony, certificates of completion and financial stipends were presented to all participants. The programme's outstanding trainee also received a brand-new sewing machine to support the start of their livelihood journey. Participants reflected on the skills they had gained, the challenges they had overcome, and their aspirations for the future.
At People's Goal, vocational training is more than skills development—it is about creating opportunities for people affected by conflict to rebuild their confidence, restore their livelihoods, and move toward a more secure future.
